With any type of Laser treatment there are risks of hyper or hypo pigmentation, sensitivity and sometimes infection. I would only recommend Laser as a last resort and for those who have scarring as well as active Acne. There are many triggers for Acne as not all those with very oily skin develope Acne. Try making some better food choices, eat lots of nuts and green leafy vegies, avoid soft drinks/sodas and any high sugar foods as they can be a major trigger. Take a fish oil supplement, it balances the sebaceous secretions and makes the oil finer, causing less clogging. Crushed Aspirin tablets make a great daily cleanser as it gently removes a layer of skin cells and has anti-bacterial properties. Just mix with water and paint on face, leave for 4-6 Min's and rinse in warm water, make sure you remove it all. Finish with witch hazel and a light oil like coconut oil, or apricot kernel oil. By not stripping the oil, your body will stop over producing to counteract, and if your face feels greasy after you have applied you oil you have used to much, wipe off with a dry face cloth and apply a little more with hazel and massage in. Tomato juice is great as a toner as it balances the skins pH and reduces redness, green clay is great as a bi weekly mask to mop up excess oil and calm the skin as well.Is laser treatment safe for acne ? does it hav any side effects ? At wht age it can be done ? Wat is procedure
yep totally safe. around 17 would be appropriate
Ive done microdermabrasion before and i was 13. there were no side affects, and it kinda hurt (like snapping rubber bands). Im about to do photodynamic acne laser or Isolaz laser. These types of lasers HELP acne and are designed especially to treat and eliminate acne.
-Microdermabrasion is the cheapest (about 100 bucks per treatment)
-Isolaz helps with acne but mostly for blackheads and enlarged pores (about 400 bucks per treat.) you need about 4 treatments
-Photodynamic acne laser helps acne alot but has some burning and peeling to the skin afterward. (about 300 bucks per treatment.) you need about 8 treatments
They all have different procedures, but the most complicated would be Photodynamic acne laser. First they wash your face with acetone. Then they put a clear gel called Levulan all over where you will get the laser. and you leave on the gel for about 40 min. and then you wash the gel off and then you have the painless laser for about 8 min. then VOILA!
