  • 12 year old acne treatment?

what should u do if u have a dougher that 12 and has little pimpils?12 year old acne treatment?
well if you go to any drug store you will find medicine for acne or pimples. all you have to remember is that most topical treatments makes your skin really dry so you can buy treatment that is also moisturizer%26gt; hope this helps!12 year old acne treatment?
Use a mild cleanser that doesnt competely dry your face out, such as nutrogena acne face wash. Then wash your face everyday with water and the cleanser, and do not put on any makeup. It makes it worse. Keep hair out of your face, dont eat oily foods, eat lots of fruits (only not strawberries. Pears are a great choice. Certain fruits give bad reaction to acne), keep hands off your pimples, wash hands clean daily, and wash your face with only hands, water, and the cleanser. Do not use a washcloth. Makes it worse. I have also tried nutroguena 3 step acne solution, and it works pretty well. BUT, just dont try too many products. Stick especially to one brand. If she has these really little pimples, get a doctor to prescribe her microsphere Retin-A. But basically if you keep your face clean, that is the most important, and it doesnt cost any money. Oh, and change pillowcases every other day. And don't put hair product on hair. ESPECIALLY GEL or any gooey- like product.
Get her some some good facial cleanser, like Clean and Clear, or buy some blemish cream (it's like acne cream). A brand that really good is Clearasil Ultra, it comes in a tube with a twist cap. Just squeeze a little amount onto your finger and rub it onto the affected areas.

    Hope this helped! :D
If she has a lot of them and they look painful you should take her to the dermatologist. I made the mistake of just buying proactive, but I didn't realize I was allergic to benzoyl peroxide, and it made my acne worse. What I needed was salicilic acid, an ingredient that can be found in a product called Murad.

If she's that young though, and they're not too much of a problem I would try St. Ives first. If that doesn't work bump it up to Clean %26amp; Clear. Make sure she washes twice a day.
i use clean and clear 3 step acne treatment. its wonderfull because it doesnt dry out your face, and it comes with a cleaner, lotion and a spot treatment that all help fight acne and prevent it. it works great! and if that doesnt work, you can always go to a dermatologist and have her face checked out. they know what theyre talking about! good luck
    Do absolutely nothing.
im a 14 yearold guy and i use aveeno face wash and it works perfectly

    Dry ice for acne treatment?

Today at the dermatologist, she rubbed dry ice all over my face, and it's supposed to help with my acne. Has anyone else ever had this done? If so, did it help?Dry ice for acne treatment?
I've never heard of that before, but if the dermatologist did that there must be a reason for it and it must help. There is no quick fix for acne. Your doctor may recommend some prescription medication. Keep your face very clean. Drink plenty of water. Eat a nutritious diet and get enough sleep. Try to reduce the stress in your life. Probably the most useful and effective things you can do are to apply hot compresses to pustules and cysts and never to pick or squeeze pimples. Playing with or popping pimples, no matter how careful and clean you are, nearly always makes bumps stay redder and bumpier longer. Here are a few informative links with additional home treatment ideas.

    Dry ice for acne treatment?
My husband had cystic acne as a teenager and received ';Dry Ice'; treatments for several weeks which eliminated the acne. It was a comon treatment back in the early 70s in Sothern California and very effective. We are looking for a dermatologist who does in the Chicago Area. Help! Report Abuse

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

    http://www.17acnetreatments.com

    Good luck :)
ice actually includes more dirt than just water. Ice has no help at all with acne because all it does is freeze the top of your pimple. This actually makes it harder to get rid of. what you want is to keep your pimples soft, and use something that is strong enough to get rid of most pimples soon. i recommend oxy. it really works. proactive is fake
This procedure will kill the bacteria that causes acne and will exfoliate old skin cells, resulting in newer, cleaner appearing skin.

Yes, it helps. The ';Dry Ice'; (not real ice cube ice) freezes the skin cells.

Anybody know of any good acne treatments?

I've been using neutrogena advanced solutions acne therapy system and at first it worked super good for me but now i keep getting little unwanted breakouts here and there. Help?Anybody know of any good acne treatments?
Cleanse daily, avoid washing away natural oils with soaps or washes, this causes skin to produce more oil than normal which clogs pores. I recommend Oil Cleansing Method (OCM), it doesn't strip away natural oils so is healthy, reduces acne and heals scars. Mix half Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) to moisturize and half Castor Oil (CO) to cleanse, change mix as your skin changes, also try adding tea tree oil as it's antibacterial. Massage mix into your face, then put a hot face cloth onto your face for at least 1 minute, this opens up pores letting the oil cleanse. Wipe off oil, any trace amounts of oil are absorbed so skin won't be greasy. http://www.moogoo.com.au/category13_1.ht鈥?/a> Have your own face cloth and towel, keep them clean and dry to avoid bacteria growth which can cause spots. Moisturize daily, as long as it's not greasy it won't cause spots, but don't be scared to use oils such as Bio Oil which will heal scars too, remember oil is actually good for your skin.

    Once a week steam to open pores by putting your head under a towel over a bowl of hot water, but don't do this during breakouts as it stimulates blood flow and oil glands which can make things worse. Exfoliate weekly to scrub off dead skin, use something with rounded beads as things such as apricot kernels have sharp edges which cause small cuts leading to spots. Another way to exfoliate is cosmetic vinegar which also promotes circulation, regulates skins pH and is antiseptic. Mix 500ml of apple cider vinegar, 3ml lavender essential oil, 3ml rosemary essential oil, 2ml rosewood essential oil, and 2 tablespoons glycerine. Place into a glass bottle, use as cleanser by adding 1 tablespoon vinegar to 1 cup of water. Try masks too, they are easy to make and there are many recipes online, see Make Your Own Cosmetics http://www.makeyourcosmetics.com or Pioneer Thinking http://www.pioneerthinking.com try this mask;

    Strawberry acne mask;

Ingredients: 陆 cup fresh strawberries, 1 egg white, 2 teaspoons of honey.

Mix together ingredients until smooth using a blender or a fork. To use spread over face and leave for 15 minutes, rinse off with cool water and pat dry. This one is good as strawberries are rich in salicylic acid which is commonly used in acne treatments, honey is also antibacterial.

Keep yourself healthy, diet is a big factor so make sure to get a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables as well as a lot of water, but avoid salty foods as iodine aggravates acne, try also a good multivitamin - vitamins A, B6, zinc and chromium help to clean up acne. Get plenty of exercise, sleep and stay stress-free. Pay particular attention to your skin during harsh weather when it is more prone to damage, also avoid agrivation from the sun by using plenty of sunscreen. Make-up is best avoided all together, but if you do wear it use as little as possible and keep your make-up clean as dirty sponges or hands in make-up causes spots. Use mineral foundation as it has great coverage but is light so won't clog pores and is free from harmful ingredients, most commercial brands make mineral ranges now so it's easy to find. Anybody know of any good acne treatments?
Stick with Oxy -%10 benzol peroxide. Or another brand that has %10 benzol peroxide. (Clean and Clear) Be diligent about it. And use the cleanser as well and youll have no little breakouts. Its the strongest medication at the drugstore you can get. Nothing else will be as effective.
proactive sometimes works for ppl and sometimes it doesn't. because my cousin used it for like two years, and it never cleared up. then he gave it to my other cousin. and hers is clearing up good. clean and clear worked for me, but not for my sister. so i suggest you pick something else besides those two, so you don't waste your money.
my home remendy is as follows

1 Tbs- plain low fat yogurt , 1 Tbs- dried comfrey leaf , 1 teaspoon honey , 1 teaspoon cosmetic clay.

Grind: comfrey into powder in coffee grinder. Mix ingredients into a spreadable mask. Smooth mask on clean skin relax for 15 min. and wash with warm water.

Whatever product you choose always go with a product that has a money back guarantee which will safeguard your purchase.

    Some simple natural treatments are:

    1) Drink plenty of water. Helps keep your skin in great condition.

    2) Watch your diet
I use Greatful Body face wash- I found it by looking up non toxic soaps on the Skin Deep website and it's really helped my skin.
Freederm or E45 worked wonders for me, but different creams work for different people. Try E45 first! Hope all goes well

No not much. before going to urine theraphy I suggest you to try out one simple thing. Constipation has a close relation with acnes so use mild laxatives while sleeping and if you have regular bowels your acnes would go off. There would be no need for stinky treatments

Whats the best treatment for acne?

whats the best treatment for acne is ZENMED庐 Derma Cleanse庐 System better than proactive if not wich one is better.Whats the best treatment for acne?
I have tried a lot of stuff to fix my acne problem.. I have tried ProActive, worked a little but dried out my skin too much. Then I also tried some weird methods..since as use Tea Tree Oil, and a bunch of other pharmacy products for acne removal. Some of them fixed a little, but not much at all. UNTIL... I went to my skin doctor, she gave me 2 ance treament thing and it worked out very well! The products that she gave me are Benzoyl Peroxide Wash 5% and Clindamycin Phosphate Gel USP, 1%. BUT those are prescribed for my problem, I have had acne problem for at least 3 years. I didn't go check out with the doctor fast enough because I didn't care much about them until they never went away that is when I started trying out all the products. I don't recommend you go to pharmacy and buy those 2 products since it is from my skin doctor, your skin doctor might give you something different depends on your acne problem. So my best recommendation is go see your skin doctor and get the right product so you don't waste money. Oh and don't go to family doctor...the acne products that my family doctor gave me either caused irritation or redness or just didn't work at all.

Good luck! Whats the best treatment for acne?

yes! antibiotics. you can stay on tetracyclene (';tetra-psych-lene';) forever. (i don't know how to spell it). use that along with an over the counter 10% benzoil peroxide ointment. i like neutrogenas products. but if you use just the ointment everyday, it will make you all dried out and not really help much. the antibiotics are great. also you can use benzaclyn instead of over the counter products. but if you don't have insurance, don't bother with that because it's like $80 for a teeny tiny jar. i think that's just 1 ounce. it's great stuff though. i have always had awful skin, but the antibiotics work wonders for me.Can I get good treatment for cystic acne?

These are some effective home remedies for the treatment of acne and blackheads.
    Yes Proactiv! It rocks!!
PROACTIVE. They can send it anywhere.
Proactive doesn't work as well as this regimen I will show you now:

I have had mild acne for about 2 years now, and I have tried many topicals, trying to find a ';cure.'; I have researched a lot about this skin condition, but couldn't find very many reliable sources, and almost all of them say the same thing.

I do not think acne is ';curable,'; and you have to cope with in adolescence, but there are steps that you can take to make your face better.

Do not try harsh topical treatments, or ANY KIND OF PILLS!!! Do not consume pills, since most (or maybe all of them) have bad side effects. Accutane has horrible body side effects, and is a total killer to babies inside pregnant women, and once you quit taking accutane, acne comes back for sure. I had tried consuming nutrient suppliments to make my acne better, but they produced little effect. Also, I do not rely on any other active ingredients than salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.

I had come across a very helpful site for an ultimate ';prevention'; to acne.

    www.acne.org

It may initially sound like a very simple and ';common'; website, but it has a very powerful regimen that you may use to treat your acne. Very simple:

    - Wash your face with a GENTLE CLEANSER.

    - Apply your face with 2.5% BENZOYL PEROXIDE. Wash.

    - Apply your face with a GENTLE MOISTURIZER.

This regimen works for almost everyone who TRIED it. Most of these people had previously tried everything on the market and still haven't been successful with their acne. Do not overlook this. I greatly thank the guy who has experimented with this regimen and written the site.

The reason why this works is because your skin must not get dried or irritated. You might probably want to improve your acne, no matter how your skin turns out to be. That's not the case. If you dry or irritate your skin, your acne gets worse. That is why benzoyl peroxide (B.P.) products at 10% concentrations are really bad for your acne, because these guys irritate your skin EXTREMELY easily. The manufacturers put it on market only to ';attract'; consumers by flashing products with high B.P. concentrations and make profit.

However, a 2.5% B.P. product is much better, since it produces much less dryness and irritation. B.P. gradually penetrates your pores and kills acne bacteria, and (as a bonus) your skin cannot produce resistance to this substance (unlike salicylic acid). The pore-penetrating and bacteria-killing properties of 2.5% B.P. is just as powerful as the 10% B.P., but much better for your skin and much more effective for acne (read the paragraph above).

It is important that you cleanse your face with a cleanser before applying B.P. since it gets rid of a lot of dirt and oil from your face. Application of B.P. is much better done on clean skin.

Moisturizing is a MUST, since it prevents irritation from the B.P. (I think it is good using it after applying just any other product that can cause skin drying and irritation). Make sure your moisturizer does not have any oil, since oil makes your acne worse. I use Loreal Hydra-Renewal.

Make sure you start this regimen slowly. It is not good to start using benzoyl peroxide (if this is your first time or haven't used it for a long time) at a frequent rate. You must believe this regimen will work. Do not give up since it really works. READ THE WEBSITE FOR DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS. A major mistake of many people is that they give up too easily. But if you really want your acne to get better, I suggest that you trust this regimen, and follow it precisely. Edit: Do this regimen at night. If you do it at day and you go out, you might damage your skin easily because of the B.P. And also be patient. This works a little slowly, but is ultra effective.

Edit: If you are really impatient about a big pimple, you may try to apply on it some toothpaste (paste, not gel). I do not know how effective this is, but I heard it works for some people. It may dry or irritate where you are applying, but maybe it is worth the sacrifice to get the big one off (do not overdo it, nor do it frequently). Once again, I do not know if it works, but it's worth a try.

    Immune to acne treatment?

I've been using the same acne treatment for over 3 years...it used to work, but now it isn't doing anything. can skin become immune to a product after using it for so long...Immune to acne treatment?
I really think your body can become immune to it. I have been on four different types of acne medications in the past 7 years and two of them have actually worked. After like 2-3 years though it doesn't seem so effective. Usually you can go to the doctor and he/she will prescribe something similar. Either that or you will be started on a whole new regimen.Immune to acne treatment?
It might be because the medication you are using used to treat your acne with just one known cause. There might be other causes now that brings about your acne. You can still use your old medication but try using it in combination with new products in the market today. This way, you can increase the power of your old medication with the new one that you'll combine it with.
There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and

blemishes. Fast results too! (It has been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up ';best acne solution ever'; on ebay. First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can buy the whole container for $160

It's expensive, but the product DOES work

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don't have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

    I hope this helps. =)
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.

I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.

I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.

Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

    Fast acting acne treatment?

i need something that i can get at a drugstore or something for acne. its not really bad but i just need something to calm it down.Fast acting acne treatment?
I started breaking out when I was about 12 and I had terrible acne nearly every day of my life until a couple months ago. I'm 20 now. I found a product call ClearZit at Dollar General. I wish I would've known about this stuff when I was younger. Its active ingredient is 10% benzoyl peroxide. It's super strong compared to anything you'll pick up by any name-brand manufacturer- even stronger than Proaciv. I tried it all. I can't even start to name everything. I started with the most expensive stuff first thinking the more it costs the better it must work..(';You get what you pay for,'; they say). This only costs a dollar and it's worth a try. GOOD LUCK!!Fast acting acne treatment?
    Hi,

The watery gel from Aloe Vera plant is a highly effective natural cure against Acne. The enzyme-rich gel has very soothing anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It can also be taken internally and helps clean up and detox the digestive tract. This in turn can help clear up the skin.

Gel or juice of Aloe Vera is highly useful in fading of acne scars. You can grow Aloe Vera plant in your home and apply freshly taken pure Aloe Vera gel to your scar. Otherwise many branded cosmetic companies manufactures pure Aloe Vera gel, so you can choose the best cosmetic companies to get Aloe Vera gel.

Vitamin A is also a natural and effective Acne cure. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin.

Vitamin E also helps in countering Acne. It is a natural antioxidant and beneficial for the skin.

Tea Tree Oil is obtained from the Melaleuca alternifoliais tree from Australia. It is very effective against Acne as it contains bacteria-fighting substances called Terpenes. Acne is often caused by bacteria and the Terpenes either outright kill them or weaken them enough to be destroyed by protective antibodies. There are very little side effects from using Tea Tree Oil.

ok so whatever you do, dont try proactive, it makes your skin look AMAZING but once you stop using it, you break out even worse

i have acne too, its not severe, but i have four or five white heads on my face at a time. i also get black heads all over my nose and between my eyebrows. i have jumped from cleanser to cleanser, and last week i started using Neutrogena Rapid Clear face wash. it smells good, plus it cleared my skin entirely in a week (starting from a bad break out). its cheap and amazing, and it cant hurt to try!
Well, if you have PAY T.V you might have seen the PRO ACTIVE adds? Well they are proven to make your acne come to a halt!!! If you dont have PAY T.V then I suggest looking on ';Google'; for a pro active website...I hear it is pretty amazing stuff =) hope it works out =)

  • Whats the best acne medication or topical treatment out there?

It really depend on your acne case

I would personally think that since there is so many over the counter items to choose for, I wouldn't risk my acne to be an experimental object.

I would go to the dermatologist and they will prescribe you the medication that is suit your need.Whats the best acne medication or topical treatment out there?
read tips on treating acne, skincare and home remedies to help you better on this siteWhats the best acne medication or topical treatment out there?
there is no best treatment. something that works great for one person may not work for the next. a dermatologist can tell you whats good for your particular skin type.
What i recommend you is to see a dermatologist, because they can give you the prescription for the product i recommend you, The name is Roaccutane, that product will permanently remove all your pimple of your face for life. The treatment takes from 6 to 9 months aprox, depending on your skin condition, if it is severe or not. The dermatologist use that product if you keep having acne problems, because it is that good that will makes you do not visiting them again. So if you go to a dermatologist i recommend you that you tell him or her that you want that product, because they will start with soft ones and on the end you will have to use that one.

Take in consideration that the treatment may give you in the beginning some headaches and if you have an oily skin, you will feel it dry.

I understand your situation, because i had the same problem and i know how it feels. That makes you to stay every day on your house because of your embarasing. Now i have a baby face with that product, so i recommend you to go direct to the point to your dermatologist and tell him about the Accutane and you will see.

    Good Luck

ummm this is something that a doctor recommends i think, its a one step, u add before sleep. So wash your face with like clean and clear in the morning., and night time aplly this on your face before u sleep, dont whipe it off though, its medication, Clindoxyll Gel (i think thats how u spell it) umm... u apply it on the pimple or acne area, and u will see results, it actually works if u dont stop using it.

not sure if this got anything to do with it, it has the name so:

and heres a pic of what thee product looks like:

it shoulnt be too expensive at all, go to ur doctor and ask for this, he make a note, give it to the pharmacist, and u get like 2 packs at a time, and go backfor refills, works awsome, if u dont get lazy like some people. and im not sure if its over the counter or not.

I hope this helps, bai bai! ^.^

EDIT: O AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER. because it will get rid of like bad things in your skin, like how do i explain this, o yes it cleans out ur toxins, and also gives u agreat complexion. at least 8 glasses a day. food eatinggood is good, but eating chocolates and swees isnt really proven to be the cause but more like horomones, but if u notice that ur eating a food and u keep breaking out, than stop eating that food and see if it works.Face cleansing/ acne treatment?
try nutregina. you didn't say you've tried it. maybe that'll work. and watch out with which kind of food you eat. Some foods make people break out. And drink a lot of water! Substitute for soda and all those things. I had acne problem and drank more water and i had less acne. =].

Cucumber - mashed or in juice form - can be applied to sensitive skin; unlike many other acne home remedies it doesn't dry your skin, on the contrary, it acts like a very gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .
Everybody has different skin types, so what worked on me, might not work on you. It sounds like you might have sensitive skin (like me). I have tried Proactive before and it made my skin worst. It contains benzoyl peroxide, a harsh preservative/chemical that can irritate problem skin. Clinque, which I've also tried contains preservatives too. Once you start using benzoyl peroxide-based products, your skin because ';addicted'; to it and once stopped, your skin will break out again.

I use Boscia Clear Complextion Kit, it's great for people with sensitive skin. It cost 45 dollars but it is the best thing that has ever happened to my face. Boscia products are preservative-free and contain willow bark which is great for cleaning pores and healing acne. However, like I said, everyone has different skin. Also, now I'm not sure of your age, but the birth control pill Yaz is also popular for clearing acne.

Does clean and clear acne spot treatment work overnight?

and how well does it work?

(hopefully it does, i bought this stuff today...)Does clean and clear acne spot treatment work overnight?
    yesa it works overnight

but it will take some time for u to get rid of acne spotsDoes clean and clear acne spot treatment work overnight?
No, u better go to a dermotologist to give u the right treat med
If it does not work, return it!
Sorry to say this.. but the said overnight treatment magic definitely didnt work on me...
For some people it will work well, for others it won't. One hint I have found to find the treatment that works for you without spending huge amounts is to take advantage of trials provided by the manufacturers.

This way you can test several different treatments without blowing the bank.

    Toothpaste as acne treatment?

My mom and my sister and a lot of girls at school will put toothpaste on their face to get rid of acne or stop it at first signs. I just had a baby and my face broke out, not horrible but noticeable. Does this really work? How long do you leave it on for? Do you put it all over or just on the spots where you are breaking out?Toothpaste as acne treatment?
not so sure about toothpaste.. although it has a cool mint, but i think u should read this for acne treatment.. http://kitasihat.blogspot.com/search/lab鈥?/a>Toothpaste as acne treatment?
You leave it on the day and rinse it. It dries up the pimple, not much of a treatment.
I use toothpaste all the time! I put a tiny layer of it on a big pimple when I get one, and I leave it over night. Don't put it everywhere, just a little bit on the big ones. It dries your pimples out. Good luck!
Yes, it works. Feels weird, but works. Put a dab on each spot where there is acne for overnight. In the morning, you'll most likely see a difference!
It could work, but you should be careful, you could burn your skin (like leaving a mark not literally burnt :) if you leave it too long on your face. I actually tried it a few years ago, but I didnt have acne per se, my problem was more of a few isolated little pimples and it actually helped me.
my friend did the same thing.she puts little dabs on wherever her acne is, and she sleeps with it on. in the mo r ning she washes it off.

but u shud also use ur reguualr face wash.
Oh don't do it. It works BUT it burnt my face. litterally burnt the skin off. It hurt so bad it was worse then a sunburn. Don't do it. I warn you. If you use it only do it once......
I'd advise against that, toothpaste is for teeth, nothing else %26amp; it will most probably irritate %26amp; dry your skin out. Just get something over the counter.
Well, I'm pretty sure that it does work because my cousins put it on and they don't have any acne at all. Just put it on the spots before bed and then wash it off. Do not put it on your eyes! I'm not sue how long you leave it on though.
Many acne sufferers insist that toothpaste has helped reduce the size of their pimples. When you hear favorable experiences with a particular home treatment for acne, you can definitely be tempted to try it. Before you do, though, keep some tips in mind.

    Do Not ';Paste'; Your Face

If you decide to try toothpaste as your home treatment for acne, make sure that you apply toothpaste sparingly. Use traditional toothpaste as gel toothpaste won鈥檛 be as effective. If you have back acne or acne on your shoulders, you might want to try applying toothpaste there to see how this home treatment for acne works for you. That way if you have a negative reaction you will easily be able to conceal it. Part of the reason this treatment is successful for some is because the toothpaste dehydrates the pimple.

If after trying this home treatment for acne on your back, you would like to try it on your face, dab just the smallest amount possible on one pimple. Don鈥檛 try this home treatment for acne on all your pimples until you first do a spot test on just one pimple. If you react favorably, you can then try this home treatment for acne more often. You can also experiment with different toothpaste brands such as Crest, Colgate, and Aquafresh.
Dap a little on the particular spot right before you go to bed! It really does help!
It works more or less by drying out your skin. It works pretty well. Put it on just the breakout spots before you go to bed. Wash it off in the morning.
Its helps to dry the pimple out but it doesn't help for acne all the way around. If you have nothing else available go for the toothpaste. However, there are other spot treatments available on the market that work a lot better. There is something called nixoderm that is very good as a spot treatment you can find it at beauty supply stores.

This is also one that is very good and celebrities swear by it. Its like magic in a bottle.

    Mario Badescu - Drying Lotion

    http://www.mariobadescu.com/productDetai鈥?/a>
use only white toothpaste, wash your face first, put it only on the spots with an active breakout/blemish, and sleep that way, wash off in the Am, and if needed repeat for the next couple of nights

it is pretty drying, so don't forget to use a non-oily moisturizer (with SPF) during the day

    :) happy skin
I've heard the same, never tried it though. I have some friends that have and they said it works. They just dab a little on the spots before they go to sleep. I dont break out very much, but the times i do i've been tempted to try it... it just sounds kinda icky to me. Good Luck!!!
    i heard it works.

    i tried it once.

i put a little on the spots where i needed to..

and let it dry.. left it on overnight..

took it off in the morning..

    and it seemed less noticeable.

but now i've heard that it actually clogs your pores...so i'm not quite sure if it's really a good idea.

proactiv works quite well, though :)
yes it helps dry it help - but tea tree oil is even better for that and if you really want a pi mple to magically dissapear in less than a day - use cold sore cream on it. it will be red, but it will go so quick.
toothpaste is ok to use. just dab it on the areas that the pimple is at. Wait until the toothpaste dries and then you can take it off. Not sure if it works real good. What works best is probably a facial scrub that cleans pours and gets rid of zits.
i'm not sure.. i've heard of people doing that too!
I have tried it too-put it on for about the whole night. Then it can start while you are sleeping to make them smaller.

To me, it makes mine get smaller like as if I smooshed them out some un-noticable way. Just don't use it every night, like every one night, then a wash then the next night, and so on.
what i do is i put on a dot of toothpaste before bed on the spot w/ acne. the tooth paste drys up the oils in your skin around the acne which gets rid of it. after maybe 2-4 nights of doing this, the acne is gone. POOF!!!
its supposed to work...dab it on the spots before bed and go to sleep with it on
Apply some toothpaste on the acne before bed, by morning it should be noticeably better. Check out http://useinfo-acne.blogspot.com/ for more useful info.
no.. that was an old myth that it works.. i think it depends on if your skin is dry or oily. it may break you out even more. u wont want it to burn your face either. i say try it and if it burns wash it off. if it doesnt burn, maybe its for u. i would see a dermatologist to get a better instruction on what to do.
I haven't heard of that, but it might work!

    Hi,

Before just going out and trying anything and everything (which not only wastes your money but can also be risky to your skin), first educate yourself about the root causes and various treatment options. A good place to do this is at the Acne Help Pages:

    http://Acne-Help-Page.com

Then, try to get to get feedback from others as to what acne treatments are working for them. And once you begin a treatment regimen, be sure to give back and let them know whether a treatment helped your or not. A great place for sharing feedback is this Acne Treatment Results page:

    http://acne-help-page.com/treatment-resu鈥?/a>
I would look for something that has money back guarantee because what may work for me may not work for you and you do not want to be left holding the bag for a product that does not produce the results you want.

    Hi,

it's important to inform yourself first before buying any wrong solution. Products like e.g. accutane or proactiv (and those pills doctors prescribe) are aggressive and can cause damages to you and your skin since they contain harmful ingredients.

Your best bet would be to check out

    http://usefulresources.info/natural-acne鈥?/a>

Make sure you bookmark it for future reference.

This is one of the very few products out there which really treats the acne problem at its roots from inside and out, no matter which kind of acne you have. Without damaging your skin, all natural and endorsed by doctors and herbalists.

I've literally wasted hundreds on other ';miracles'; but this one is highly efficient and that's what only counts for me. It should also help you get rid of your acne in a breeze.

    Hope that helps.

    All the best,

    Melinda
no doubt.. Proactive works, big time. and then after a while your face will stay clear without even needing it. Dont question it... get some....

:| Proactiv doesn't work. I asked the lady selling Proactiv whether or not I should use it, and she said:

    ';You should use it if you have big pimples (cysts or nodules), but small/normal pimples won't need it. Also, Proactiv can dry out your skin and you may not see result using it until after a few months to a year, depending on your skin type. Some heatlh concerns also come with Proactiv like redness or dryness of the skin.';

I don't recommend using Proactiv from what she told me...

I had acne, too. Nothing major, though. I asked my doctor if he could precribe something for me to use, and he did.

    IT WORKED AMAZINGLY.

Just after 2 weeks, I could see 90% of my acne was GONE.

    (I AM NOT KIDDING.)

I was so frustrated and had such low self-esteem because of my acne before, but now I can go in to the sun and feel good!

    Just ask your doctor/dermatologist!

    They know their stuff.

:) oh btw here's a tip on how to tell if you have serious acne or just mild (like me):

if your pimples grow mostly on your CHEEKS, you have serious acne. Also, if they are hard to the touch and it hurts when you touch them, that's also another clue that you have serious acne! Otherwise, it's mild :)

I wish you all the luck (because we all know how ANNOY pimples are)!Effective Acne Treatment?
For face: Mix nutmeg powder with a little unboiled milk and apply on acne or pimples and wash after an hour this remedy when done once or twice a week will not leave any acne marks on the skin .

When washing your back use a loofah, sponge or exfoliant to help remove any dead skin cells that may clog up pores. Use a gentle action and don鈥檛 be too harsh otherwise you will end up breaking the skin. More such solutions at http://solutionsforpimples.blogspot.com/
This is a really hard question to answer,

Pro Active. It works amazing!! They have a cleanser, and a toner you use daily and a mask you can use for spot treatments. It's worth the money!!
If Proactiv doesn't work after 3 months, you should see a dermatologist. Proactiv is pretty good but it could be something serious that you may want a professional's advice.

    Zeno Acne Treatment Device?

I was wondering about the Zeno Acne Treatnment device. I have a few questions about it and would really appreciate it if someone could majorly help me with them. Is zeno a good product for its price? How fast does it work? Do you have one? Do you need creams or things to fill it with? And how exactly does it work? I would love all the information I could get on it. Thank you so much!Zeno Acne Treatment Device?
I just bought a Zeno tonight. It is defective so I have to return it tomorrow, and I'm not sure if I will even get another one. The information I read inside is why.

It only works on small, red bumps that have just shown up.

    It does not work on:

    blackheads

    whiteheads

    red pimples with puss showing

    under-the-skin pimples

It also does not work unless you use it at the first sign of a pimple . . .but that's almost impossible to do because it only works on one type of pimple and when one is just starting, you have no idea which type it is.

Also, it has to charge for 6 hours and only runs 3 treatments in a row before shutting itself off. So, if you need to treat more than three spots, you're out of luck.

When you buy Zeno, it comes with 60 treatment tips. Replacements after that cost $25 per box.

So, now that I have all the info and know the prices, I feel like it isn't worth it. Of course, they all come with a 30-day money back guarantee, so you could always get one and try for yourself.Zeno Acne Treatment Device?
I accaully read, and yes it does shut off after 3 treatments but after 15 minutes you can turn it back on a again, sorry, just had to say this. thanks! Report Abuse

Laser Acne treatment, should I? Should I not?

I did a search and I know of people have asked similar questions before, but still, I would like to get direct opinions.

I have been suffering from acne since I was 12, and until I was 16 the situation was not so unbearable, the pimples focus mainly on my forehead and chin before my monthly period, and they usually heal after my period.

However since I started working part time when I was 16, due to stress, and I started to get serious break outs on the other area of my face, and some of them are hard pimples that seems impossible to get away. Every spots that I get leaves deep red colour scaring and now no where in my skins is clear except my eye area.

Now I am 20, and the situation still continues, I believe my puberty has far gone and ruled out the cause of imbalance in hormones. During this time I have tried almost every product that I could get from the market, from creme de la mer, SK2..etc, nothing really works.

So I am considering laser treatment. Worth it? and How much?Laser Acne treatment, should I? Should I not?
If it affects your confidence and quality of life go for it!

The doctors are used to people in your position, they deal with it every day!

But i reckon you could be looking at 拢1000 for the treament!

email a few of the clinics asking for price guides etc.Laser Acne treatment, should I? Should I not?
If you have the money then do it!! I was in my late twenties when I had the Obagi blue peel on my face (cost about $500 US). Acne (especially cystic acne- the hard pimples under the skin) is embarrassing %26amp; painful. You will not regret your choice. On a side note- a product with hydroquinone will help to diminish the red color scarring you describe. Some hydroquinone products are AcneFree Scar Lotion and Obagi's Step 3. Best of luck to you!

Zinc. Try 1 - 50mg a day, try that for a week and if needed bump up dose to 100mg. Zinc is for your complexion and skin.

Also there is a Direct Sales company called L' Bri, Pure and Natural. Being that there is not all that pore clogging crap in it, you can really tell the difference in your skin.

    Cystic Acne treatment?

I have only recently begun to have terrible acne, and the doc did say that there is some cystic acne. I cant see a dermatologist as there are none available at all in my area, and my GP told me he wont prescribe anything till fall because of the reactions of these meds to the sun. He did recommend an over the counter product, but after one month it began to irritate my skin to the point it was burning. So--the acne is worsening and it HURTS. Isnt there something I can do or use? I have really, really sensitive skin.

I am SO sick of this. I also have Lupus, but I am pretty sure that has nothing to do with it other than causing a severe reaction to a combination of sun and medications....Please help if you can....but please don't say proactive solution.....thanks.Cystic Acne treatment?
Here are some REALLY good, and very inexpensive ways to treat most acne at home. Try each method (unless you鈥檙e allergic to the ingredients) until you find one that works best for you. Good luck =) BTW, I know some of these may sound bizarre but try them鈥hat have you got to lose other than the acne!!

    1. Put toothpaste on your acne before going to bed. (Make sure it is paste not gel). It should reduce the swelling of acne noticeably.

    2. Dab egg whites on your acne and leave on for 20 minutes or overnight. It鈥檚 supposed to pull the infection out of the blemish.

    3. Wash acne infected areas twice a day with warm salt water. This reduces oils in the skin and helps to dry the acne up without further agitation.

    4. Use ice on acne before going to bed. This works best on pimples that have not yet formed a head. It reduces swelling and helps to prevent scarring.

    5. Wash and dab acne with cotton balls that have been soaked in vinegar. Let dry; do not wash off immediately.

    6. Place strawberries leaves over your acne and the alkalinity will help to reduce the swelling.Cystic Acne treatment?
Cystic acne can be treated with Accutane. It is costly but works wonders. See a doctor or dermatologist for a perscription. Insurance may cover it or some of it. Cystic acne can cause scarring on your face if not treated. Good Luck!

Oh, you have to stay out of the sun and assuming your female can not get pregnant (they will put you on the pill.)
If you鈥檙e looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne鈥?prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it鈥檚 advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

    An Introduction to Acne Treatment

    Dave Lavinsky

Nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne, making it the most common skin disease. Acne affects almost all teenagers as well as a growing number of adults. It attacks all kinds of skin - with little regard to race or gender - on the face, neck, chest, back, shoulders, and upper arms. It can take the form of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, nodules and cysts 鈥?even permanent scars. Often, acne clears up after several years, even without treatment. Sometimes, however, action needs to be taken.

Acne is formed when skin cells inside hair follicles shed too fast and clump together, plugging up the follicle and causing a pimple. While mostly genetic, acne can be aggravated by any combination of stress, hormonal activity, hyperactive sebaceous glands, accumulation of dead skin cells, bacteria in the pores, skin irritation or scratching of any sort, anabolic steroids, medications containing halogens (iodides, chlorides, bromides), moisturizer overuse, hair removal, lithium, barbiturates, androgens, or exposure to high levels of chlorine compounds.

Many acne sufferers think they have no recourse but to wait it out and pray that theirs is not a severe case. Today, an overwhelming variety of preventions and treatments exist to combat every kind of acne, from the humblest of whiteheads to the most vicious cystic inflammations. From kitchen to pharmacy to natural food store to dermatologist鈥檚 office, there are dozens and dozens of treatment routes you can take, depending on your case of acne.

Over-the-counter topical treatments are your first line of defense against acne outbreaks. Benzoyl peroxide is the most popular chemical for this type of treatment, coming in such sommonly known brands as Clearasil, Oxy, and Neutrogena. It is important to treat acne early on, as all treatments are actually preventions against later outbreaks. For more severe cases, there are oral and topical prescription medications, as well as traditional or laser surgery. Acne Treatment provides detailed information on the best acne treatments, including laser acne treatment, and scar treatment, as well as adult, natural, home treatment, and more. Acne Treatment is the sister site of Microdermabrasion Web.

What did your GP recommend for over the counter? I have very sensitive skin too, one thing that was over the counter that helped a little was Clearasil Adult Care Acne Treatment Cream, it has a Sulphur antibiotic in it, not Benzoyl Peroxide so it didn't dry my skin and make it as red. I'm currently using perscription acne treatments but if your GP refuses to give you anything right now (personally I'd see another doc), you could give it a try.

If it's on your shoulder, you may want to try a benzoyl peroxide product which has a higher percentage. You can get as high as 10% at most pharmacies without a prescription (which is about as high as you'd want to go anyway, I don't think you can get any with higher percentage). Most acne treatments are for face though, so you may have to specifically ask for a body benzoyl peroxide cream. There are other body washes meant for it, Neutregena has one and their ingredient is salicylic acid.

I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem dot com at the time which was helpful.

You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.

Well good luck and best wishes.
I am a Monavie distributor and I use the Monavie active gel on my face to clear up my acne. It works better for me than anything I ever used from the doctor and it also does not have the side effects that most medications give you. The juice also clears up the skin, but that is around $35 a bottle. If you just use the gel for the face, a packet lasts about a month and I sell them for $3 a packet. If you are interested, you can send me an email at jawhite1988@aol.com for more information.
    Hi Pita,

Causticum hahnemanni, Hepar sulphuris calcareum, and Carbo vegetabilis are some of the homeopathic remedies which are known for their properties like astringent, flushing out toxins and opening up abscesses.

    Hope it helps. It should.
i use clean and clear and it works for me. but honestly, you just have to try them all until you find one that you like because everyone's skin is different. just because something works for one person doesn't mean it will work for everyone.
Proactiv, that's what I use and it works. They have washes for face and body. Its kind of expensive but it works.
    Clean and Clear.

Go take the Skin ID test to see which one is going to work for you.

But I reccomend neutrogena clean and clear.

Best treatment or removal for acne scars/ scars ?

I have dark skin and acne scarring, but not alot, but its still visible. I am aware that because of this, I cannot use all acne scar treatments, as it will affect my pigmentation. So I would like to know which is the best, that people would recommend.

Best treatment or removal for acne scars/ scars ?
i would use bio oil it can get rid of all different kinds of scars, i can't cope without mine.Best treatment or removal for acne scars/ scars ?
One of the most basic remedies is to just drink water everyday and keep yourself hydrated, while keeping a decent metabolism.

Think of it this way: babies who drink more water usually have softer and nicer skin that babies who drink less.

Don't worry too much about the scarring or else your worries will just add stress and create more. If anything, just wash your face with soap everyday and go on about life as usual.

If you plan on finding treatment, you could try acutane, but just a warning: it's a really strong depressant.

If you still want to find a treatment for it, don't forget to try following this too. A body and mind that's happy shows it through the body's physical appearance.
Maybe Mederma. It is what I use for scars and it works better than anything else I have tried. A tube of it is a bit expensive, but you use very little at a time. I have a tube that's two years old and I'm very active. Using a microderm abrasion treatment and any cream with vitamin E in it is also a great idea.
well i used one time pepto bismol and it help now my skin is soft

apply it to ur face like if it was a mask

then le it get hard and leave it for like 2-3 mins

    Best Acne treatment?

    Hi,

Because acne is the most widespread skin disorder in the world, a lot of research has been done to determine how acne forms and how it is eliminated. Over the years a number of different treatments, medicines, and products have been developed to help control and eliminate acne.

Currently there are about 7 different treatments that are widely used in the prevention and elimination of acne. Subsequently, there are literally thousands of different products that use these treatments in one form or another. To find the best of these, be sure to check out our ranking and review page.

    Acne Treatments

Accutane (Isotetinoin): Accutane is a very powerful drug that is a derivative of vitamin A. It is normally prescribed for severe acne in cases where other treatments have failed to work. Accutane is normally taken for 4-6 months. The downside to Accutane is the high occurrence of side effects, some very serious.

Antibiotics: Antibiotics are designed to fight bacteria and are thus used to control acne mainly from the inside. There are topical antibiotics such as clindamycin that are applied directly to the skin. Other antibiotics such as tetracycline are in pill form.

    1. Benzoyl Peroxide: This is an anti-bacterial agent that has been used to control acne for many years. It has been proven to work very well in the elimination and prevention of acne. Benzol Peroxide can be found in many prescription and over-the-counter medicines and products.

    2. Herbal Remedies: A relative newcomer to mainstream acne fighting are herbal remedies. It is thought that certain herbs are effective in regulating oil levels and other bodily functions that pertain directly to acne.

    3. Retin-A (tretinoin): Retin-A is a combination of retinoic acid and vitamin A acid. It is designed to treat acne, wrinkles, and sun damage. It supposedly does this by unplugging follicles and turnover over dead skin cells.

4.Salicylic Acid: This is another widely used formula in controlling acne, especially preventing future breakouts. Salicylic acid helps slow down the shedding of cells inside the follicle. It is available in many over-the-counter treatments.

    5. Sulfur: Sulfur is used in acne control mainly to promote drying and peeling of the skin. This may be good for eliminating existing acne but its effects on preventing future acne are questionable.

There you have it. Most acne regimens consist of one or more of the above formulas. It is important to note that everyone's skin seems to react differently to these treatments. For some people, benzoyl peroxide works great. For others salicylic acid may work better. You really have to experiment a bit and find out whichBest Acne treatment?
