Dry skin and acne treatment?

I have been using Proactiv (I have mild acne) for about a week now and the first 4 days were fine, but then my skin started getting dry and a little flaky so I stopped using the face mask and went to using it once a day....still getting dry skin.

Do you think using a little bit of moisturizer about an hour or so after applying the Proactiv would be decrease the actual effects of Proactiv (actually decreasing the amount of acne)?Dry skin and acne treatment?
ack! please stop using proactiv! I used it on my acne and it gave me scars. Visit a dermatologist and they can give you a personalized skin care system, trust me it's worth it (i didn't even have insurance when I went) Dry skin and acne treatment?
I used to have dry skin, but i used a moisturizer called E45 cream, and now my skin is not dry and looks much healthier! I would recommend you to buy it because it works really well! :)
For me, Proactiv never worked, but it works for many other people so I don't want to discourage it.

But if you have mild acne I would recommend using all natural Witch Hazel Formula.

It may take a while for your acne to clear up, but eventually it will.

Witch Hazel helps cleanse pores and it reduces redness. I use it twice a day, and my skin always stays smooth and clean, and it never gets dry or oily.

You can buy it at most drug stores.

I hope I helped!
Maybe try using proactive at night and using a different face wash in the morning.. for example Cetaphil face wash. it is sooo moisturizing. it cured my dry face. and it is very gentle and clean and does not affect your acne. You really should go to a derm though!! they will help you. I've heard proactiv is evil. :)
If you are still getting dry skin after switching to once a day, then you might want to consider using the mask even less. Perhaps once or twice a week?
