The best treatment i had... my doctor prescribed me some medication called doxycicline that helped my acne till i stopped taking the medicine.... dumb idea on my behalf :-PAcne Treatment?
so far, the ONLY thing that worked for me was the birth control pill....1 out of the 4 that I was on worked wonders for my skin and that was Ortho 0.5/35 (well, maybe 2 prescriptions...Diane-35 made my skin ssoo soft but was taken off within a week and a half due to blood clot formations). The Ortho also made my skin UBER soft too (although not as much as what the Diane-35 did).





Alesse and Yasmin made my skin horrible (even though I was on Alesse for 1 month and Yasmin for 2 months before I had severe depression issues).





I have tried everything...simple otc cleansers, antibiotics (tetracycline worked really well although after a year I've had to take a break because it was causing random bruising all over my legs), and prescription creams. The only thing that has worked is the pill.

Depends how bad it is. If your acne is quite severe and has many pustules (white heads), talk to your doctor about Retin-A treatment or various antibiotic medications. Some oral contraceptives can help clear up acne as well. If you only have a mild case, try Avene Diacneal (best OTC med I've found, available at Shoppers Drug Mart in cosmetics).
I haven't tried this one but my friend said proative is awesome
