i'd love to have clear perfect skin and have been reading stories about acne laser treatment and how it can achieve this, but has anyone had it and found there acne got worse it didn't improve at all?
thanks : )Has anyone had acne laser treatment and found it had adverse effects?
I personally have never had laser treatment, but have read some horror stories on a different message board about patients who are extremely disappointed with the laser results and how they wish that they never done it and instead tried something a bit less invasive first such as the tca (medium) chemical peel. One post mentioned how the person's dermatologist mentioned that he or she doesn't even use laser anymore as it can sometimes be too strong or whatnot. I'll leave the website where laypeople can read and post messages (free to register). There is a forum for all kinds of cosmetic and even reconstructive procedures.Has anyone had acne laser treatment and found it had adverse effects?
There are rare cases where the patient is burned by the laser. Most of the time it works well with no adverse reactions. Sometimes it takes several treatments to see results. Get a consultation and see if you are a good candidate. If you decide to do it, let the technician know if you are feeling more than slight warmth or tingling during the procedure. If it hurts or burns, tell them to stop.
