Neutrogena products work really well, and they're not too expensive. If the acne is really bad, consider going on an acne pill.Recommended acne treatment other than Proactive?
I've been in that situation and there is really nothing you can do about it. There are things you can do to try to reduce the blemishes and get rid of acne/pimples temporarily but you will always be finding yourself cleaning your face or your body depending on where it's at.
I mean of course your acne should go away eventually but for some this is the case their whole life.
I'm 29 years old and have been suffering from these little pests since I was a teenager. I tried all sorts of face washes from the local grocery store and what not, but nothing seemed to work. If anything it would just make my skin dry and itchy.
Literally the best acne face wash I've ever used has been this stuff called clearpores. It has got rid of the acne to quickest and has been a success ever since I got it. It's unique cause of it's herbal supplement you take a long with it that helps your skin from the inside out. I saved money on it at skincleansingsystem.com at the time which was helpful.
You should really look into this stuff and if you can to assure the best results, get the 3 month supply because if it doesn't work it will still save you butt on the return policy.
Well good luck and best wishes.Recommended acne treatment other than Proactive?
i have oily, sensitive and acne prone skin. my favourite brands are Avene, Vichy, Eucerin and RoC, as they are all good for sensitive skin and are good quality, dermatological brand. also not as expensive as stuff like clinique, lancome etc.
i use Avene soapless gel cleanser, roc hydra bio active moisturiser combination skin spf15, and in the evenings i take off makeup with a baby wipe and then cleanse again, then apply vichy normaderm anti imperfection hydrating care, which is for blemish prone skin.
i would try the Avene line or Vichy Normaderm to clear acne up. both brands are for sensitive skin and aggravating your skin can make acne worse.
also, drink a lot of water and eat fresh foods. lots of fruit and veg and brown bread, brown rice etc. also some protein like tofu or eggs or lean meat. cut down, if not eliminate, processed, sugary foods from your diet. zinc supplements are also supposed to be very good for acne.
Cetaphil has great cleansers... then try a toner with glycolic and salicylic acid... always moisturize (SPF 15 at least during the daytime, a moisturizing cream at night). The best treatment for me is spot treatments.
apply honey and lemon in equal quantities for 20 minutes daily....
or use honey and Cinnamon powder equal quantities for two weeks...this second thing cures pimples from root
get in a sauna, you will start sweating, and your poors will open up. Put soap all over to clean your pours out. Try this for a few weeks
I use Clinique and I think it is really good.
