I have severe acne(there is too much), and i cannot find the right treatment for it. What should I do?

First, I started using proactiv(twice),then i used clearisil but that didn't work(it was worse than before). So now I went back to proactiv but it seems like its not working anymore.I have severe acne(there is too much), and i cannot find the right treatment for it. What should I do?
DUDE I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, i went to my dermatoligist and she perscribed Accutane for 4x less then proactive costed me. 3 months later my acne is gone and still has not(and will not) returnI have severe acne(there is too much), and i cannot find the right treatment for it. What should I do?
I don't think it's a good idea to see a dermatologist, that's only trying to get rid of your symptoms, and basically they are there to sell drugs.





The best bet is to check your diet, sleep, water intake, and avoid Coke and other fizzy drinks, and fast food (junk food) as it is loaded with fat which translates into acne.





Wash your face with clean water, with a little added salt, get some sunshine, eat your veggies, drink only clean water and green tea, exercise to perspire, get eight hours sleep a night , and you will be fine.

accutane works the best, its a really strong pill that dries you out but its usually 100% effective but it takes about 2 months to see results





also they can inject your pimples right there on the spot and they will shrink within the next day!
k i had ance when i was a younger teen im now 18. I tryed everything. go to the skin doc. and ask about Accutane. its a pill kinda like an overdose of vitimin A. It drys your skin out a bit depends. but its a cure sent from heaven.

if your a girl you have to be on birth control and have blood tested every month. cuz it will casue birth defects. but other wise it will clear it right up in a couple months.
I've had some problems too. I've seen a doctor and he gave me some medicine for infection and some gels for outside. Ask a doctor about Doxycycline Hyclate 100 mg and Duac Gel or Finacea and Retinoic Acid. You need a prescription from a doctor for these. I suggest you go ahead and see one asap. They do work.
Usually Proactive will work. Try washing your face three times a days and see if that works. I have a friend who has bad acne and she went and saw a doctor and they gave her special cream medicine that helped her. So maybe you should see a doctor? Good luck!

they will most probably prescribe you roaacutane (google it for info and side effects) which is a very effective drug -- i went on this and it cured my acne in less than 2 months.
pro active SUCKS!!! i went to the doctor and he gave me this stuff called duac and it works GREAT!!! clean and clear also helps but pro active is theee worst, stop using it, it will make you break out more
proactiv is making it much worse! stop using it! u cud try neutrogena or clean and clear, that what i use, and my skin is not 2 bad.

Girls can go on a low dose birth control pill, but you may need Accutane or something else prescribed by a dermatologist.

I use clean and clear and it doesnt totally stop it, but it prevents like extreme mountain ranges on your face

You need to give proactiv time. Use it for another 3-6 months and you'll probably see results. Have patience!

I finally went to our family DR and he gave me shots and meds. I am clear today.
